Been traveling about a fair bit these last few weeks so the Calamity Wagon iPod connector has been seeing some action. I also like to take music with me whilst scrambling about the local hills and crags. Here's mu soundtrack:
David Bowie: 'Ziggy Stardust (Alt. Version)' A bootleg compilation of all the songs but from alternative studio performances.
Dusty Springfield: 'The Best'
Hawkwind: Space Ritual
Jah Wobble: I Could Have Been A Contender
Morphine: 'B Sides & Otherwise'
Portishead:'3rd'
Goldfrapp: 'LIve Amsterdam, 2010' Bootleg
Lunar Dunes: 'Galaxsea'
Sparklehorse: 'Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot'
T.REX: 'The Slider Sessions' A bootleg of revealing studio outtakes and chatter that just adds more to the whole atmosphere and vibe of the finished thing. Just listening to Bolan doing a vocal limbering up as Visconti, in the control room, has him and the band waiting before a take of what was about to become the classic standout track and number one single; 'Telegram Sam' reveals that... well, he was just still little more than an excited kid at this point.
Stranglers: 'La Folie' at their very peak.
Human League: 'The Very Best' but they omitted so many superior tracks.
Dub Colossus: 'The Ezana Stone Sessions'
Circle: 'Prospekt' Bloody hell!! How did I let this band slip under my radar for so long? Thank goodness for UNSUNG, eh?
