If you used an actual gong as a shield the irony would probably be so extreme as to cause a rupture in the fabric of space and time - which would be very a Gong thing to do, which would....(cont page 94)

The only true protection against anti-fusion aggression is a Utopia pyramid and a very large keytar. People run screaming.

Blimey. Forgot all about Snafu!

Saw them live - supporting Quo in '74 I think.

Don't recall being terribly impressed tbh, but I just might have to search them on youtube!

Just found Bloodhound by Snafu. Not bad actually - quite a nice groove, though not too keen on the vocs.

It was worth searching for them on youtube because it initially let me to this - the BBC's finest ever moment where they interviewed the wrong guy on the news!

Isn't the top one a 6 string bass (or a bulbous guitar?).

CS whipped it out (ooer) for a few songs at Glasto when Yes played. Had to text a mate that I was having a beyond prog experience!

Edit..doh I see what you mean. Think middle one is fretless?

They had one good song. Long Gone. I saw them opening for John Miles (!) and a whole bunch of mid ranking acts at Olympia on New Years Day 75 or 76. The rest of the bill was something like BJH, Procol Harem, Baker Gurvitz and Jack The Lad. I had a ticket cos Man were supposed to do it and they pulled out. It was a very very long day.

Is it. Oooh. Nice. Though I would need a week of physio with that thing hanging off my shoulder. Maybe it is papier mache like the ZZ Top ones?
