Okay, okay - so I had a bit of misfortune with a couple of the earlier attempts on my office shelving. They've been successfully, holding a great weight of books and bumf for a good five years now, though!

Shelving's history for me now, any future storage's gonna have to be floor standing to negate the effects of poor workmanship and gravity. DVD's and CD boxsets went everywhere but with no real damage, completely gobsmacked that the vinyl records on one of the shelves came out unscathed too. Which is more than can be said for the magazine rack it all fell on ! Still, if it happened two hours earlier my head would have been the first point of contact as the shelves were directly above the end of the sofa on which i'd been laying down so i'm grateful for that at least. And yeah, my first thought was, i'm havin' a KC moment here !

Otherwise such a thing could really louse up your day. I mean, imagine the scene; there you are operating some huge beast of technologically advanced piece of machinery - specifically designed for humanely removing the valuable hair from alpacas. Twenty at a time... When suddenly you have an unexpected Kid Calamity moment!
