I was reknowned for doing that to our two as babies. My friend (and fellow noisehound) Jack said I was definitely bringing them up right when he walked in to hear me playing baby Will some Pere Ubu.

Wishbone Ash - Live Dates
Really loving this now after living with it for a few weeks.

Eleh - Location Momentum
I'm finding this very inspiring for my own recordings at the moment.

ELP - Trilogy
Enjoyed this in the sunshine over the weekend.

Miles Davis/Bill Laswell - Panthalassa
First listen in a long time. Also sounded great in the sun. Lovely and drifty.

Gong - 2032
This is now one of Will Squidling's faves, so it has been getting a lot of airplay.

Genesis - Wind and Wuthering
This has aged really well I think. Some gorgeous instrumentation.

Incredible String Band - Big Tam & the Wee Huge, 5000 Spirits, HBD.
All really growing on me now. Thanks Seacat!

Oneohtrix Point Never - Rifts
Still getting regular plays a few weeks after purchase.

Prince Far I - Bedward the Flying Preacher (from Pay It All Back)
Cracks me up every time. Brilliant.

Aphex Twin selected ambient works 85-92
First time I'd heard this in years. Sounds much better than I remembered.

on 2nd thoughts that would be *SIMPLY* eviL.

Hmmm. You'cve given me an idea there..

Rockabye baby! Lullaby renditions of "Lick My Decals Off Baby", anyone?

I see that amazon are also selling a "Rockaby Baby! Lullaby Renditions of U2". All I can say is, please don't play that to your son, Charlie ... that would have a far more pernicious influence than Captain Beefheart.

Nice. Not their best, but more than enough quality tracks to make it pretty essential.

I take it you were one of the lucky buggers to get a promo? I pre-ordered this tonight, so what's it like? Spill the beans, pretty please.

But.. if it's shit don't tell me because I'm moist for this and you'll shatter my already flimsy illusions about life :)

I have a stack of at least 100 cheapo LP's sitting on the couch I am trying to get through . . . best treat so far is Janis Ian "For All The Seasons Of Your Mind". More psychedelic than expected, and I dig her "teenage Joni Mitchell" poetess vibe (maybe more than Joni herself actually!)

In the car: a Grateful Dead 1971 audience tape that lived in my tape deck the last couple weeks has recently been replaced by my beloved ELP mix tape -- THE WEAVER AND THE WEAPON HE MADE!

New music: SABBATH ASSEMBLY which is a guy from No-Neck Blues Band and the singer from Jex Thoth doing hymns of the Process Church!!! Psychedelic dark gospel, I am liking this even better than the Jex Thoth stuff. Official release is June . . .

Colour Haze/ Temple and also Los Sounds De Krauts ( can't see to get enough of these guys lately... when I first bought a pair of CDs from them a year or two ago they didn't do much for me but man do they reveal much upon repeated listenings. Stefan's clean guitar tone is a real signature sound, really unique in the genre and fits the music so well.)
Van der Graff Generator/ Still Life (my personal fave amongst a catalog of greatness)
Groundhogs/ Split
Steve Hillage/ Live at Deeply Vale 1978
The Devil's Blood/ The Time of No Time Evermore
Circle/ Meronia
Neu!/ Neu! 2
Lucifer's Friend/ Mean Machine (I bought this waaay back when it came out in the early 80s and still love it. No, it isn't the same as early LF but rather their attempt at a NWOBHM sound and it worked! John Lawton's magnificent vox seal the deal!)
Kingston Wall/ II
Mellow Candle/ Swaddling Songs
Magnum/ Chase the Dragon
Taste/ On the Boards
The Magnificent Brotherhood/ ST
Otis Optic & The Option People/ ST
THTX/ The Magic Frequencies
Autosalvage/ SY
May Blitz/ ST
Jukka Tolonen/ The Hook
Bevis Frond/ Bevis Thru the Looking Glass
Diagonal/ ST
Magma/ 1001 Centigrades
Waterloo/ First Battle
Alan Davey/ Eclectic Devils
Bubble Puppy/ A Gathering of Promises
Free System Projekt/ Moyland
Brendan Pollard/ Expansion

John Coltrane/ A Love Supreme and Blue Train
Miles Davis/ Sketches of Spain and Pangaea
David S. Ware/ Cryptology and Flight of I
Sonny Rollins/ East Broadway Run Down
Bobby Hutcherson/ Components
Larry Young/ Young Blues
Pharoah Sanders/ Thembi
McCoy Tyner/ Trident
Reggie Workman/ Summit Conference
