Ya, I concur. Beware of supercheap dupe services... it's very likely CDR's they're giving you.
The difference between a proper CD and a CDR is that the CDs are made with a process that gives the foil inside the plastic of the CD deeper pits for the laser to read.
CDR's are made by burning a little pip in the foil of the writable disc. It's very shallow in comparison and will soften over time and exposure to light.
My store bought CDs play great in my car... my CDR's used to work OK, but crap out by the second track or so now. I'm sure it's partially my car's deck to blame, too.
