You have just missed Monster Magnet mate!
They played over here a few weeks back. That is presuming that you're in the UK?

So far, looking forward to MV & EE (touring in Feb)
and the wonderful Wooden Shjips, (touring in April - yay!)

Would like to see Emeralds, Eternal Tapestry and The Clientele

Thinking about going to The Greenman festival again this year, but reckon that the chances of getting another sunny / dry weekend like 2009 will be remote

Yeah I know but I'm hoping they'll be back late in 2010 after the new (soon to be recorded) album is released. I may live in fantasy land but it's nice here.

Last year was a void when it came to live shows.

Planned so far: Air (in Orlando), The Residents (in NY) and might even get back home to blighty in summer so a festival or two is possible.

This year I will mostly be looking forward to gigs by:

New Model Army
New York Alcoholic Anxiety Attack
Ian McNabb
Julian and his Black Sheep Cohorts

I'd quite like to see some more of the Phantom Band and I wouldn't mind seeing what Aidan Moffat gets up to these days

It would also be lovely to see more gigs by Lunar Dunes and Black Tempest

Cope at the Trades sounds great to me- even though I'm now in Brighton, Hebden Bridge is my old stomping ground and a perfect place to see JC, I reckon. Pretty much in the middle of this island, too- shall we start a facebook campaign to get it organised for the summer?

Back in real life, I've got tickets for the Stooges / Suicide double whammy with Popel, and I'm also going to see Peter Hammill at the end of January. I'll try to see some bands who are under retirement age, but no definite plans so far.

Festivals: I'll be trying once again to get booked onto a poetry stage at one of em in return for a free ticket- that's probably the only way I'll get to one of the big events these days. Would very much like to do Green Man as I've never been.
