This is what happens when you get insomnia and don't turn off the TV late at night. You get shocked out of your wits !
I am sure some of you adore YOKO. Some of you may think she is a genius.
She still horrifies me as much as the first time i heard her screatching "WHY" back in the early 70's.
Anyhow....just for a laugh....here's what she had to offer the other night here on the late night TV.

Didn't hate it didn't like it..Heard Similiar but better, assume though that if it was the new Slits sound people would be more impressed...

She was a stone freak in the 70's, but this version of Plastic Ono Band seems like a sad attempt to recreate the old magic.
The 1970 "Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band" LP is fantastic! (Better than John's more famous record with the matching cover if ya ask me.)
This is the same blueprint (jamming on a riff plus shrieking), but it just ain't workin' this time. Heard another piece from the new record, and it also sounded very similar to the old record, only "reheated leftovers."
I'd be respecting her a lot more if she was "pushing forward" instead of reliving past glories. Though on the other hand, maybe the world is finally ready for her 1970 sound? I bet that old POB record is a lot more popular today than when it came out.
She does look pretty good for a *76* year old lady though!

She has her chauffer take her out, in the middle of night, into the streets of NEW YORK city in her huge Rolls Royce......looking for street winos and bums to suck the blood out of.....thus preserving her un-natural life.
She offers them 'Come-hithers' with cheap ThunderBird wine.
