She sounds like the bands she influenced, B-52, PIL, Pylon, Flying Lizards, 30 years later, don't know why she waited so long, should have been doing this all along. Find it ironic that her avant gardism was blues based rock ala Capt Beefheart plus Touareg undulating vocal, which she might have over used so it comes off as a gimmick. She wasn't far out enough, however her intersection with a Beatle and their fans (mainstream) was the culture clash.

Thanks for that link I've added a comment to it - basically Yoko and her daughter are now happily reconciled

What she lacks in lyrics she makes up for in energy... and I gotta say it, she's looking damned good.

I'm not sure John would be too pleased with her treatment of Julian, the Nike advert, mugs and tea towels etc.. Agree 100% -- even people who don't like the Beatles seem to blame her for their breakup (which is totally not true; it was the four dudes in the band not getting along for years wotdunnit. Though I don't like her "widow Lennon / caretaker of the estate" routine these days either.) As someone else already quipped, she's "my favorite Beatle" too -- at least when it comes to their solo albums. ;-) Think I might blast some "Cambridge 1969" today!

Van Morrison was a fucking genius. Astral Weeks through to 1990 produced an utterly stunning canon of work. Some weak bits for sure, but overall, not many would be fit to wipe his shoes. It's Too Late To Stop Now? Veedon Fleece? Into The Music? Common One? You are clearly mad, sir. ;-).
