"Riot on Sunset Strip" incidental music

Does anyone out there in HHland know who recorded the extremely groovy piece of music that accompanies this (unintentionally hilarious, it has to be said) scene where Mimsy Farmer gets dosed with acid?

(The track I'm referring to starts at 3.36)

It starts out sounding like a collision between the Hollywood Studio Orchestra and the Standells, but as the trip intensifies it gets swamped in delay to the point where it gets pretty far out, even by 1967 standards - sounding like some weird mutant hybrid of lounge and early krautrock.

Whatever it is, it's not on the soundtrack album (although it could be by Sidewalk Sounds, who provide three other tracks) and I can't find any info about it on AMG either.

I'm planning on sampling it for one of my own tracks, but from the point of view of sound quality it would be useful if I could find a CD version to source it from - assuming it was ever released.
