Yeah, I also agree with the points about the lack of 'modern' frontmen (or backmen for that matter!) with the charisma etc to really grab an audience.
I even agree with Shelby that Freddie's overrated nowadays - esp since he's been dead, tho unlike Shelbs I do think he was a great singer & frontman. Personally tho I don't think he was 'better' than quite a few of his generation & mebbe a 'generation' or 2 after.
For me, Ian Gillan, Paul Rodgers, Ian Anderson, Robert Plant & probly several others I haven't thought of were at least as good. Also for me, I think Dave Lee Roth & Julian are the 'best' I've seen tho DLR was better in the early days before he got too openly 'vaudeville'. Or summat.
