Yeah but Keith, it's still the same blues scale that they and countless others have made a perfectly good career out of.

Sort of know what your'e saying but it's pointless, as in the same way of arguing the merits of The Quo.

YES, it's been done before!

YES, it's derivative!

Who cares?
Enjoy or don't listen.
The aforementioned bands have never claimed to be ground breakers and it's a pointless exercise dissecting the sound!
