Was too young to see the first wave of 'punk' bands that hit my 'out in the sticks' town, so missed the Damned, Slits, Adverts, Rattus-era Stranglers, etc. Never got to see Belly - Had the chance to see them with REM & The Cranberries but I was going through a 'stadium gigs suck big logs' phase at the time (still am!)

Yeah, they were brilliant. The 1977 gig is probably my fave ever.

As a teen I just missed out on a chance to see The Birthday Party. Still one of my favorite bands of all time.

Saw the SMALL Faces once - 1977 reformed for a gig at the Rainbow with Rick Wills filling in for Ronnie Lane and PP Arnold singing with Stevie. I think they just did it to show the Punks what for. Rotton and Vicious were in the pub over the road afterwards. Did you see the Willi's live ? What is up with that Dingwalls reunion gig , i saw the ad's for it at the time but have not seen or heard anything since

Greatest regrets: Zappa -- I could have travelled 3-4 hours to see him on his last tour . . . Sun Ra -- passed up a chance to see him, and then he died a couple months later. Woulda been regrets except they came true: SO GLAD I got to see Mission of Burma -- twice! I never thought that would happen, the idea that they would reunite and still be at it after 8 years still seems too good to be true. Also had the priviledge of seeing Kraftwerk twice: one of their last "console" tours in the 1990's, and again with the new "laptops" (but without Florian) around 2008. Think they've only played about a dozen times in North America in the last 20 years, so that's pretty lucky I'd say! Actually did see them, but it feels like I didn't: Public Enemy -- opening for U2 in a stadium. It was like watching ants crawl around from across the street. The sound wasn't much from the nosebleed seats either. Still on my list: Neil Young (with an electric band.) He better not go dying on me anytime soon!
