Too many to think of/mention! (And I was a bit young for most of them!) The ones that occur to me are:
Deep Purple 68-76
Funkadelic & Parliament in the 70s
James Brown in the 70s
As Morfe already said - proper Santana (going to see the current version next year anyway....)
Thin Lizzy in the Brian Robertson days
The Meters
Sly & the Family Stone
They're the main ones off the top of me head for me. Grudgingly - I'm not a HUGE fan - I s'pose Zeppelin as well - but I had the chance to see them & didn't go.... :^(
I would've liked to have seen the Teardrops, too I guess.

... actually, trying to think of these I kept remembering ... no actually you did get to see that one play that time ... I'd forgotten quite how many of my favourite bands I had seen ... for one who ventures out so little ... ta!

well i know its not the same without him but you can go see sahb http://www.vambostillrool.com/ on tour right now, i went last year and it was one of the best gigs i've ever been to, their still on amazing form, you wont be dissapointed.

Was offered a spare ticket to see Parliament / Funkadelic in '78 by one of the soul boys in my college class. I turned it down. What a dummy.
