Isn't that available from ECM? Or is that a remix/rerecording. I looked at a copy in Virgin Piuccadilly Circus over Xmas and thought it was kosher. Woulda bought it but I was a tad broke(or conscious of getting that way). Stevo

Now you mention that Habibiyya album as being a Mighty Baby offshoot my braincells have been jogged. AFAIK the cd-r reissue is still available at: http://www.cwdm.co.uk/HABIBIYYAPAGE.html

I'd add Playn Jayn Friday 13th/5 Good Evils +whatever non lp single side including the dub single that you got for attending Friday 13th (if I remember right) Turkey Bones and The Wild Dogs anthology, Purple Noise SAndwich, the 1st single some of No Way bEfore The Weekend and whatever best of they can get from the videos the band shot of every gig. I 'kin hope they kept an archiveband was exponentially better live than on studio. Oh yeah there was one track that turned up on a compi of bands that played the Hope& Anchor. I thought I'd got Joe Foster of the Rev-ola label interested in doing something of this kjind last year since he used to know them. Flipper Gone Fishin' & Public Flipper Ltd. Though somebody on another list has said that the master tapes were lost about a decade back at least. Looks like the blow'n'Chunks cd is probably the closest to a combo of the 2 possible. Folk DEvils. Anthology I really liked Ian Lowery's group, reminded me of a garage level Gun Club or something. Bitter intelluigent lyrics over melange of rock sound. Yum. Live sets by (U.S.) Kaleidoscope, Final Solution , Charlatans, Seeds9real live stuff not mock) early Stooges (if ANYTHING exists, a reissue of Funhouse with bits of the outakes would be cool too) & Sly and the FAmily Stone FUGS the stuff that came out on the expensive Rhino Handmade set, Tenderness Junction, It CRawled Into MY Hand Honest. Did I mention Dr Strangely Strange Kipof The SErenes/Heavy Petting -is this forthcoming in the Island remasters series? The Box Clock DVa Thirst Is Peter Brotzmann's Machine Gun out in a suitably loud master? I don't think my copy quite fits the sound.Bit quiet. Henry Cow Concerts with a mix that matches the way it sounded on vinyl. The Oslo on my cd is very different sounding. Birthday Party Drunk On The Pope's Blood/Rarities since it was the one cd in my box set that was nicked in the box of 200 that my Toirch of The Mystics went in. New Kingdom Paradise Don't Come Cheap heavy blunted rockin beats. Actually almost blunted to the point of disguise far more so than on Heavy Load anyway. MDC Millions of Dead Cops my cd is VERY quiet for something that's sposd to be so in your face. Stevo

Gonna drive mnyself loopy with the list of reissues I've been dying for if I don't watch out. The Canadian avant rock trio Fat's '88 masterpiece Hit is one of the lps I'm dying to hear in the one format I can play. I asked the people at REccommended/These about the possibility of seeing it on cd last year to be told maybe next (i.e. this) year. Bloomin hope so. Now if somebody'd just nudge that Mike Gira geezer and say there's an audience out there dying to hear an official release of you and your old muckers The Swans at their 88 heavy folk rock peak I'm sure the world would be such a better place. Does that 2 Anonymous Figures in a Room set fit that criteria? I missed it before. Stevo

Dunno...I know JCOA/Watt was an ECM sublabel, but I wasn't sure if they'd gotten 'round to reissuing the early JCOA/Watt stuff on CD, to say nothing of relatively easy-to-get CDs. If that's the case, perhaps I should do a bit of poking around, but I've got a bad feeling that this might be in the same 'missing' department as certain other earlier ECM releases...

'Grace Under Pressure' is long overdue for (if not some extra synth pads) some stusio wizadry.
