I meant 'STRANGLERS', before anyone pipes up.

Well, there's some live bootlegs & demo tapes by The Screamers floating around, most of them really, really lo-fi. Same thing with Catholic Discipline.

There's a 6 cd box available with quite reasonable price: http://www.freakemporium.com/releases/Hanoi-Rocks-Lightnin'-Bar-Blues.html I'm not sure, if they're still available separetly as Castle re-releases. There was a good 2-cd compilation out few years back. Most of their earlier stuff has been released in Finland by the Johanna label, which means they're imports abroad. When it comes to members post-HR career I'd only say one thing: approach with care. If you like Hanoi Rocks, you might like to check out band called Smack as well: http://smackonyou.com/ Oh yeah, Andy McCoy had his own "Osbournes" -series in Finnish TV. And he also stole a dildo in front of television cameras, while being a guest on a talk show. Rock'n'Roll.

Funny you mention those since I dug out the XEroid compi In A Better World last week & it was on my STFOL last week. Good stuff innit? Shame there ain't much info on it. Would love some liner notes. As to Crime I have the old version of San FRancisco is Doomed & found it a major drag that it didn't have Hotwire My Heart on it. There was a great article on them in Ugly Things about 8 years back. Wish my copy hadn't disappeared when I moved from Dublin Stevo Np Matching Mole Little REd REcord Righteous Rhumba

The band members had a stated policy that they didn't want any of their music released or something. Funny thing is that they each went off and started record labels. A label called Xeroid put out a 2cd compi that I have that's pretty cool http://www.xeroidrecords.com/xeroid_frames.html I see they're now doing a video of Screamers material (one of the early Flipside vids had a set by them too) & a tribute lp to them. Nice folks at that label too from what I remember of the transaction Stevo

hehehe I'm a big Stranglers fan and was suprised to see them up at that gig. Wasnt sure if they would fit in. Norfolk coast is great, although its been pointed out that mainly because it is a return to their early days. However much of their recent output is patchy. They can still do a great gig though when the mood takes them. Incidentally saw ex-frontman Hugh Cornwell recently - it was a really good gig. Suprised to see the Stranglers doing the Robin in Bilston in August. Looking forward to it.
