John Scott who was in the Jilted John backing group (also co-writer of said hit), used to be seen where I live (in chorlton), wondering the high street and looking like he was walking off a permanent hangover!
This was the early 1990s when he played with Black Stan's Blues Band which I saw a few times- rhythm 'n' booze. In about 1994, Mr.Scott celebrated his 40th birthday playing steel guitar with a group at the Lloyd's Pub in chorlton (before the alterations), playing mostly soul/country song covers.
He looked like a young Dennis Norden then, but haven't seen hide nor hair of 'im since m'lud.
