come on then... who else is bowled over by the new streets album? it's a blinder. a conecpt album no less!! about a knackered telly!! and peopled by some great characters. mike skinner's humanity shines through and even though you can spot the punchline a mile off, it's still a great crack. i love it - almost as much as the jilted john album which it puts me in mind of. anybody? jilted john's concept album - recorded with the martin hannett house band is the adolescent flipside, the 70s version of skinner's noughties. both have the gift of the gab and a story to tell. are they related? i think we should be told. moral: buy the streets album. buy the jilted john album. erm, that's it...

Is that "Fit But You Know It" song typical of the album? I thought the first album was alright but IMHO that song is truly enervating.
