Agreed. Though being better than Tommy has never been much of a recommendation in my book. Over-rated and weedy. Quadrephenia was much better IMO.

Another great moment on TLS when all the words ending with 'ion' (masturbation, menstruation, copulation) does his head in on I Was A Pre-Pubescent.

Arrrggghhh!!

Shuttleworth got a mention here but what about that other, more recent, rock historian character - the name of whom escapes me at the mo. The "Wake up Maggot" story behind Maggie May was superb!!
