Dunno, last album Munki was OK, though between that and Psychocandy was a waste of time..still, I'll probably pick up the Peel Sessions CD at some point.

I quite liked Automatic.. there's some good three chord tunes on there. Agree, everything else is pants.

Pussy Galore Birmingham Mermaid 86/7? Tour to support 'Right Now' metalbashing swampbluespunkfrenzy in a room no bigger than 30 feet square ,wannerful! Swans, Same Venue, think it was 'Cop' Tour, bloody 10000 watt PA, and Gira screaming 10 inches from your face...scary and intense, plus loads of mad anrcho biker types giving the atmosphere the extra heeby geeby quota...really thought we were gonna get killed that night. The Orb...1990, (tour for the first LP) Birmingham Hummingbird, only about 50 people turned up and they played a rip roaring set. Support was the excellent Mystick Nights, whatever happened to them?? Higher Intelligence Agency at club Oscillate. Mad ambient house droney dirgey set inna small club atmosphere (which, now i come to think of, they ran the club night, groovy). 808 State, Birmingham Hummingbird, 1990/1? Tour to support the '90' album. Wonderful night out, the whole place was girating to the discotechnoacid beat. Kraftwerk, 1990/91, Birmingham Hummingbird Tour to support the Mix album, great 'greatest hits' reinterpretation, plus the dummies, plus they handed out these little boxes to the audience to play along to the songs. Pavement, supporting Sonic Youth 1987/88? Birmingham Hummingbird, great set, they still had that monkey of a drummer back then, so he was playing the baffon all night. My mate was violently sick, so we had a 20 foot radius of empty space arund us...had a good view of them : ) World Domination Enterprises, Manchester uni 87' ? Great raggapunkabilly dubnoise fest..the drummer was soooo stoned when he came on stage i thought he was gonna keel over, but once he sat down on the drum stool, he was off like he'd been kickstarted, played a killa set, of whicj 'I Can't Live Without My Radio' was the highlight. Loop, the following night after World Dom', Great set to support Fade Out album....the bass nearly chopped me in two,and the wall of noise was , well, nearly orgasmic, mmmmm. There's probably loads more, but I'll stop now.

ooooh I forgot Patti Smith at the Rainbow back in the 70s...they left the stage as a pile of smoking, sparking, flaming feedbacking amps, broken guitars and rubble - absolutely awsome.

Got that on vinyl, but it's soooo badly scratched as to be unplayable. Think it was the era when CD was gonna be king, so the vinyl edition were so thin you could almost wipe your arse on em'. Must replace it though now you mention it, I'd forgotten all about that gem. Esp love 'Who Do You Love' 'Surfing USA' and 'Sidewalking' from that.

Heh, remember Fozzit's mad lighting effects? Far out! > 808 State, Birmingham Hummingbird, 1990/1? Tour to support the '90' album. Wonderful night out, the whole place was girating to the discotechnoacid beat. I was there too! I was tripping me ass off on LSD and when they played Cubik the PA kept doing that thing like in Stargate when the big watery thing rushes out... I though I'd have to keep me head down in case I got splattered on the back wall of the Hummingbird :O) Strangely 'twas the last time I did acid....

Can at the Edinburgh festival 1973 was pretty memorable, travelling from S Wales to see them ! Great show, parts of which are now available on Goweropolis. Amon Duul II at Birmingham Town Hall 72 ish....touring Wolf City, & under-rehearsed, they started & stopped a number of songs, but a really good-humoured night....got all my sleeves signed as well..(why did I sell them?) Ace at B'ham Uni...booked them for nowt in advance, that week they were charting with 'How Long' - we beat them at football, then they played for 3 1/2 hours....the Deb Hall never grooved as much.... Kokomo a couple of times...grooovy Pat Metheny@ Poole a couple of years ago..sheer quality of musicianship & stereo sound, plus a few beers with Baynzee Zep @ Earl's Court, & Plant on last tour....waistlines may get bigger ( me too) , but still class. Regrets? Not seeing Neil Young ever, turning down Stones Bristol backstage/party pass due to family christening oh, all my Copey gigs have been fun!!
