German Oak seems to be ut of print. I tried ordering it from Jade Hubertz, who usually has whatever of that ilk is available, and he said he couldn't get it.

Still trying to figure out why I sold the copy I had...

Freak Emporium have got the vinyl listed as "on order - 3-6 weeks" on their website so might be worth giving them a bell and see if they can actually make one materialise.

I'm listening to "Tarot" right now -- I dunno, it's a pretty unique and special headfuck.

Not that I would pay $80 for it!

Some of tracks on it are brilliant, tho maybe they did stretch it a bit to make a double.

Er, side 4 suite I mean.

I don't really hear it as individual tracks, it's just a mystical soup of sound.

Saw Damo Suzuki live a few days after the recent JUlian Liverpool gig, thereby getting myself a reputation as someone who just goes to watch aging men with flowing locks and facial hair, albeit ones of the fruitcake dept...

I'd heard someone rave about a recent Manchester performance, but it didn't quite cut it for me. I know this is unfair, but the young band weren't exactly Can (who is?), and for every exciting moment in the three VERY long numbers they performed, there were longish passages of musical nothingness. Still, it's not every day you get to see some old Japanese legend shout incoherently into a mic over discordant riffs for an hour and half. And there were SOME really good bits.

Still - on a heartfelt note - when a smiling and emotional Damo walked into the small-ish audience at the end and shook hands with it's individual members, it was a genuinely beautiful moment.

GAA is good in a slightly more early 70s Pink Floyd Way. It is good tho' not near the top of my Kraut list. Even tho' we don't like lists round here I'd say it would be in a lot of peoples 101-200.
