Well "The Fire" and "The Dream's Dream", and maybe also "Glory", "Days" and "Carried Away" are worth hearing -- I dunno about anything else. The production makes them sound like the fuckin' Eagles!

Sounds like something I hate! Having dust thrown at me (which might be due to the fact I used to have allergies...)

By the way it's Fields Of The Nefilim.

An Anthony Braxton double CD ('Quartet Coventry 1985') which I bought on the strength of a rosette review in the Penguin Jazz Guide about ten years ago and which has remained unplayed aside from the first couple of excruciating minutes. I guess it's time to admit defeat on that one...

The first Raven album is considered something of a classic of it's type. Oddly enough I played it for the first time in aeons the other day, vinyl with loadsa posters and stuff, and it did rock with much vocal screechment. Proto thrash but melodic as well. Mind you, anything else they ever did that I've ever heard was super poop!

Blimey I have a double 7" by Vardis and saw them bottom of the bill at a Heavy Metal festy at Port Vale in about 81 headlined by Motorhead. Loudest Motorhead have ever been apparently That was me first proper rock gig.

(shhh...I even have a Tygers Of Pan Tang album somewhere)

Didn't Tygers have the guitarist from Pauline Murray's old punk band Penetration? I still play Murray's Invisible Girls album occasionally...

I was at that! Port Vale Football ground... Motorhead still had their big bomber lighting rig. Vardis came on in a cloud of talcum powder n' screeched to the crowd, "is there anyone here from West Yorkshire?"... n' 3 people went 'yay'!!!!
