Article 50

Well looks like our unelected leader has finally decided what 'Brexit' means. Basically, we're fucked!

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/theresa-may-brexit-conservative-party-conference-greets-its-ex-remainer-prime-minister-with-muted-a7341806.html

An important point people need to bear in mind with this is that no political party has a mandate to govern outside of the EU, so we basically have to have a general election.

What was all that guff in her speech? We care about the poor and trodden-on. We think company bosses shouldn't be so naughty. We think social mobility is brilliant. We don't like division (unless it's sarcasm about Boris Johnson apparently). We think patriotism is great and The People Should Be Listened To. Oh yes and you want grammar schools don't you so grammar schools for all they're BRILLIANT AND YOU'RE GETTING THEM

What is all this nonsense, even as she's saying it she must be thinking 'ah this is what the plebs want to hear' and everyone in the conference must be thinking 'this is total guff I disagree with but it is what the stupid plebs want to hear'.

how stupid do they think we are - they're the centre ground, you what?? they just keep moving rightwards... onward with austerity, out with the foreigners.

how many times do we have to listen to all these obvious lies - oh yes every effing time because people are so gullible... oh must we, must we AGAIN???

sorry, I clearly didn't shout 'bollocks' at the radio enough earlier to get it out of my system. sorry.

They're already being destroyed, it comes to something when the press are actually being nice to Jeremy Corbyn and totally anti Tory, so it might just go to show that they've gone too far for even the suck up press?

Amber Rudd's call for foreign workers to be listed may be the fastest u-turn in history, there's already talk of it being scrapped. Didn't even take 24 hours!

And all this crap about 'hard brexit' is absolute nonsense and stupidity, no one wants to trade with us and taking us completely out of the EU with no trade agreements is just going to cripple this country to irreparable levels. When we've got the largest trading block right on our doorstep walking away from that is sheer stupidity.

Really shows what an incompetent shower of shit they really are.

Well they've just had solid evidence that over 17 million of us are really stupid.

Good piece from SNP's Mhairi Black about the rise of the right post-Ref:

Deleted - as not quite relevant enough. I felt better after a good rant though!

You should check out James O'Brien's show on LBC today. Caller after caller unable to explain why they voted how they voted and then either laughing / giggling when caught at the end of their personal intellectual cul de sac or else saying they always knew it would be shit and that 2 / 5 / 10 / 1000 years of economic turmoil was an ok price to pay for racial purity. Sorry ... for national sovereignty. There was one exception, a racist who wants to throw O'Brien in a river because his neighbours keep calling him a racist. More than one person argued that O'Brien couldn't be trusted because he is too good at arguing.

If politics apes The Thick Of It and television news occupies the same realm of surrealist inanity as The Day Today then talk radio is now interchangeable with Down The Line.

The satirists clearly need to up their game.

Was that the bloke who couldn't name a law he wanted removed so came up with the straight banana thing? If that that was really pathetic and really shows the level of stupid that some people went into this vote with!

I think the satirists can just sit back and say "we won, so stop moaning".

I recall Corbyn saying a day or two after the referendum result article 50 should be triggered straight away.
