It's only progress if they are any good, and there are plenty of women in high positions these days Lagarde would have got there because of her competence and I wouldn't like it any other way.
Truth is we are the ones that give birth and that sort of shapes things a bit but you know we all have choices anyways an opinion on the named person shebang?
EDIT: Sturgeon would make a fairly good town council leader, that's about it.
We, Scotland, deserves better.

Are you hankering for the days of Gordon Brown or even John Smith. Good as they were (at times), the world has moved on. And you still haven't answered my question about child protection and why you even brought it up. Typical politician! If it's about voting rights, then sure 16 is a good age to start.

Named guardian, sounds a bit '1984' don't it?

The state loves you...

Also while we are here you go on about 'Scotland's Resources' and 'Scotland' having first dibs (like UKIP do with jobs + immigrants)

you do realise there is a lot of UK subsidy there?

EDIT: Sorry, I meant re windmills.

Why were Yes voters so tunnel-visioned?

Hardly tunnel-visioned like most folks. The media have even villified Ed Miliband. For what? All sorts of crap are thrown before a general election, and I don't catch many turds. You can bet as the sun rises in the morning that regionalisation and globalisation will be on the agenda. About time, a socialistic time. It will happen that one day we shall help and support each other in all aspects of life.

Cities in the UK are wise. It's the countryfolk in middle England whom I despise.

I rest my case!

You are right we ought to help and support each other in all aspects of life, hence my rejection of separation from the very folk I think you are talking about (except country folks in 'middle England' it seems, though I got no real problems with them I am sure some of them are nicer than the wankers up here who constantly scream at their kids and walk about in their onesies (true story)).
More power to cities sounds fine, but it can't be ignored there are as many folks in London neglected by London as anywhere.
The UK needs tweaking, not smashed.
And Scotland needs rescuing from this sham lot who've hocused 1.6m of the population up here with their lies.
Mind you 2.1m were not, but it seems we are 'not Scottish enough'.
Sod them.

It's rather difficult to speak to the world, when you are actually not in it.

16 is a good idea.

What a facile generalisation.

Cities = Cool/Right on.

Countryfolk/Middle England = Despicable.

Has it occurred to you that there's also plenty of arseholes of all hues in the cities, and plenty of clued up decent people, who live in rural areas, and some can be (gasp!) 'middle class', as well ?

There's many aspects of rural life that are being destroyed by an out of touch elite who don't even care. Carve it up/rip it up. One only has to look at the dire threat that our landscape and environment is under now. This is at the behest of the Londoncentric political mindset, across the board, because they are all neo liberal free marketeers when it comes down to it. The destruction and pressure that many aspects of rural life are under is frequently campaigned against by those that live there, but completely ignored and run rough shod over. Many, city dwellers, not all, are more or less oblivious of this, and some just don't care. All these issues are very complex, but rural England is taking a very real kicking out of greed, profit and political popularity, and it's a kicking it may very well never recover from. Rural people are angry, and they have every right to be.

Not trying to wind you up but you do seem to be going overboard a wee bit. I agree there were idiots on the 'YES' campaign but the majority that voted Yes wanted improvement for every person that lived in Scotland regardless of colour or creed etc etc

The same could not be said of the NO campaign as witnessed by events in George Square. Sectarianism has no place in Scotland. Condemnation for that, and the disgraceful comments aimed at Dunblane and Andy Murray were non existant :-(

I certainly have no truck with the SNP. And even less to do with the Tory/Labour/Lib/UKIP alliance.
