I watched that and agree. Clarkson did seem to have a genuine passion for IKB and the programme was, to me, truly educational. I hadn't realised quite what he'd done for railways and ship-building. I honestly believed he was just a brilliant bridge builder. Sorry if that seems dumb!

Diana is dangerously near the top at the moment, which I find incredible. Maybe some sympathy voting's going on what with this trial of her butler and all. As John Peel said the other night: "Death is a great marketing tool." And the British public are definitely suckers for marketing and most are complete tools, so what can you do? Mind you, it must be pissing the Queen off no end. At least there's that one feint silver lining.
