Totally agree.

Whoa there trigger, at what point did I say I still supported Labour? I gave up on those cunts a looong time ago. All I said was I feel the banks should shoulder more of the blame.

Relax dude, I'm not looking for a row, especially the mood I'm in today.

With you on that Squid. Good point, well made.

No, no it really wasn’t, nor well made. The banks have to take their share of the blame, that’s agreed, but they are banks, the EPITOME of capitalism, but without whom we couldn’t survive. So, who has their hands on the reigns? Who didn't control the banks and actually removed controls? The Chancellor, that’s who. His fiscal mistakes exacerbated all of what was happening. In 2007 I was working in the US for a couple of months. I could see where things were going, and if it happens in the US, it happens in the UK a few week/months later. So, I made preparations. Did Brown? Did he fuck, and he’s supposed to be the expert! He sold the bullion reserves at rock bottom, trashed the pensions and failed to react on the economy.

I understand some of the unswerving support for Labour on here, but fuckers forget that they brought the most democracy-damaging control-freakery we’ve ever seen. Orwell’s ’84 didn’t go as far as these cnuts. Illegal costly wars! CCTV on every corner, email snooping, police out of control, DNA database that you stay on even if innocent, the start of the benefit cuts, the fuck up of drugs laws – I could go on.

I don’t like the Tories, but I hate the Brown/Bliar pact even more for what they’ve done.

What Ming said. Just because I blame the banks for the financial crisis doesn't mean I think the sun shone out of the labour govnmt either. I merely think that the tories are happily diguising the bank's culpability by laying the whole blame on labour, whereas they'd have probably made an even bigger balls up if they'd been in power.

Besides which, most of the control of the banks lay with the Bank of England, not directly with the government.

Oh yeah, and I thought the point was well made, so up yours!

I don't think any Lib Dem who is willing to go along with this, and be part of it, is a decent person whether they squirm or not.

In fact, that has made me so angry I want to pick it apart a bit more.

Couldn't we? That only applies if you think the current "system" is a good one and works. I don't. Never have. Money is a construct put in place to enslave the masses. I don't expect you to agree with that btw.

The Bank of England. More capitalist tossers.

Then you should be well aware that it was the banks lending money to high risk borrowers out of greed that caused the whole sorry mess.

Who're you calling fuckers? Fuck you!

All, as far as I'm aware, supported by the tories too.

As I have made clear, who said I suport them? Not quite as arse-clenchingly awful as the ConDems, but pretty close.

Apologies if I've taken your quotes out of context, I tried not to editorialise too much. Still, I've probably made this point just as badly as the previous one, so I'm wasting my time. I don't care, because I'm absolutely bloody raging against what these cuts will do to the welfare state, to the poor, to the disadvantaged, to students, to libraries, to front line services...

Thats the whole point, which I put in a bad way I know. People who say one thing then do another are worse. Just the same as Scottish Labour Party said they would protect Scotland against the worst of the cuts or similar cases in Wales. Swansea will be hammered by this, I think 40% of the people employed are employed by the council and they are bound to be worried about their jobs. The people of Morayshire are having RAF Kinloss shutdown, Lossiemouth might go the same way, the bypass at Aberdeen will go on hold, as will the new Forth Road Bridge along with many others and the trams in Edinburgh surely worst joke ever told!

In fact the whole thing is a joke at least the French, Spanish etc are ready to stand up and make their voices heard. This stiff upper lip nonsense might have been alright in the past but its gone beyond that. We're all going to suffer at these cuts whilst those at the top won't be affected at all. And Osborne has the cheek to say these measures are fair. Joke!!!
