prime's the reason i stopped even looking on here. i did try to make a contribution (honest guv'!) but the guy sniped and sniped until I told him to go fuck himself. . .
. . .and would still like him to go fuck himself and to be honest i don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about the fact i told him to go fuck himself.

I'm all for debate but all he ever did was try to goad me to tell him to go fuck himself ...the tory fuck.

Which I did.

so long Prime. Don't come back.

grufty Jim. nice words mate

Well, for my very last post...all I can say is, if I, singularly, have put you off posting on this site, then, you are not someone I particularly want to communicate with. Your "fucks" and "fucks", indicate you had reached your headroom...maybe I pushed you too far. Anyway, apologies for the trauma..if you reply, I wont see it...I am off to pastures anew.
PS. Thanks to the posters, who actually read what I wrote (and "interpreted", beneath the line..).
ps. anyone know how do you disable your HH userid?..it;s not immediately apparent..

Oh really you pussy! Your 'last post' when you said the previous one was 'the last'. Kiss my ass, Geoffrey!

Shame you‘re leaving. Your stance goes against the grain but that you ended up and have been on here for a while tells me that we could probably enjoy a virtual beer and at least chat about music and what Copey’s up to. Happy trails.

As an occasional poster on this bit of the site I'm sorry to see an 'alternative' opinion leave

Maybe this section should be renamed 'U-know (Merrick's right)!' to save a bit of time...

It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it.

People started taking the piss out of Geoffrey Prime because he was an offensive prick, not because he had a different viewpoint. He was treated courteously, and given every opportunity to defend his point of view, and time after time he chose to insult and belittle others instead.

Geoffrey seems now to be trying to portray himself as a victim.

He's not been banned. He's not been forced off the site. He's been called on his behaviour and has chosen to leave.

Which 'alternative' opinion of geoffrey_prime's are you sorry to see leave? Check out the recent Climate Change thread and tell me exactly what he wrote that you think qualifies as an opinion on the subject. Alternative or otherwise. Seriously, do it.

I've not been here for a while; maybe he's been lambasted for an "alternative opinion" in the past. But what I called him on was his anti-social behaviour. Snide comments, sarcastic little digs at people (rather than engaging with their views), and deliberately inflammatory remarks aimed to provoke friction rather than communicate an idea.

If geoffrey_prime has "alternative opinions" then I'm more than willing to discuss them (see the debate on the aforementioned Climate Change thread with jshell for an example of an alternative opinion being engaged with). But if he's just going to sit on the sidelines sniping at people, then I'm going to tell him exactly how childish I think he's being (which is all I've done... nobody has called for him to be banned, or even to leave... merely to stop being so obnoxious).

If, as a result, he'd rather leave the site than modify his behaviour to something less childish, then so be it. This forum is a social gathering (albeit an online one) and I fail to see, Locodogz, why anti-social behaviour should pass unremarked. Why do you think it should?

F.W.I.W, the mud slinging and name calling did go both ways. Look over many of the posts who had a go at g_p, and you'll see. You don't even have to scroll down this thread too much.

Only difference is 'the others' tended not to support Thatch, etc, so seems it's more 'tolerable' behaviour?

F.W.I.A.W, I think there would be a void without him!

If he was so damned boring,or even that easy to ignore, he wouldn't have gotten such a slew of responses!

I thought he was deliberately provocative, but it was damned entertaining too.

It is after all only the internet, and some of us are doing this sitting in our underpants waiting for the iron to heat up, and the like.

Yes, it has gotten boring now, maybe.

And he'll be back.

Spot on, sir!
