I'm all for eternal damnation...bring it on I say (but not just yet!).
This is all gobbledegook of course.
'Suppose it could boil down to comparisons to the meta-ethical quandry of what constitutes as an 'evil act'.
If you're born evil, is it your fault if you go out and do bad etc.
So whose fault is it that these genes are part of your DNA?
Sue the parents maybe?

Like all the wonderful illegal music we download, it'll remain one of those things that rarely (more likely NEVER) come to anything litigious.
The companies will defend their 'right' to use this knowledge as they wish of course.
