Your minor civic infractions are, in Statute, crimes and the people doing them are technically criminals. You can't argue against that. Even bad laws are laws I'm afraid.

It gets thus ridiculous: Anyone having children now is in fact breaking International Patent law since the decoding of the human genome has allowed private companies to patent certain human genes. That existing patent is compromised and the law broken if your children possess any of these genes! The world has, in fact, gone mad.
