Granted. I guess that way massive multinationals end up 'owning' Zimbabwe and exploiting the people. Thing is with the economy pretty much fucked, what realistic hope does Tsvangirai have to raise money to get his country (assuming it ever will be 'his' country) out of dodge? I'd love to think that fantastic trade opportunities will arise, but the affluent west expects to pay rock bottom prices for everything and I can't see Zimbabwe doing too well out of the deal. Could be wrong of course and I certainly don't claim to be any kind of expert. I'm just worried that whatever happens, assuming Mugabe finally does fuck off and die, the country he leaves will be in such a mess whoever takes over, and whatever fantastic ideals they have is gonna be scuppered. Tis a truly dire situation.
