Yes, there are plenty of anti zionist Jews, both in Israel and the diaspora, and yes they do speak out and vote (try that in Syria).
Ruth has a friend in Haifa - we're pretty worried at the mo - she's a very liberal person, sympathetic to the Palestinians and Lebanese, but having come close to being killed by a bus bomb, and now facing rockets every day, you can imagine how that might affect someone I'm sure.
I don't know what the answer is, and I can't excuse the over the top response of Israel, but I think it's important to remember that there are people dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the Jewish race - how do you deal with that?
