Re: To manao

In fact, lets go through this.

We're going to use the M-S-M routine.

That's Make, Smoke and Mong

or sometimes referred to as Make, smoke and munchies.

So before passing the spliff, you need to check what the situation is around you. If you have mirrors, you can use them, but the main thing is to check to your left and right, not forgetting to check over your shoulder in case there's anyone in your blind spot.

If there is anyone else around, you'l then need to signal. If you have indicators, you could apply them, but the most common way of indicating that you intend to pass the spliff is to use an audible warning, such as "Get your lips around this baby", or "Here you go, mate. Have a bit on that".

Or you can use an arm signal. If you intend to pass the spliff to the left, hold it in your left hand, and extend your left arm in the direction of the person you wish to pass it to. If you want to pass it to the right, this is reversed. By convention, unless you're directed to do otherwise, you should pass the dutchie to the left hand side.

You can reinforce this signal by changing your position on the sofa.

Ok. So you've checked around you, you've made the appropriate signals, now you need to actually pass the spliff.

I'd like you to do this smoothly, avoiding sudden changes of direction or speed. This way, you can avoid a collision and the accidental dropping of the spliff onto combustible surfaces such as carpets and upholstery. Be aware of the position of the person you're passing the spliff to. Rather than use marker points, these days the best way to do this is to look where you want the spliff to go. You'll find yourself just putting it in the right place after a few attempts.

Once you've successfully completed the manoevre, you can slip your mind into neutral, and relax your feet.
