Spencer it's ok. Gladman & Sweetcheats posts are splendid. I for one wish I'd never posted about lofty patronising tones.. that was stupid really. I think it's a pity that more speculative ideas & beliefs aren't expressed on here as much as they obviously were in the past, but I suppose facts are facts. Rhiannons folklore brilliance is always a wonderful read. I didn't read your original post about " change", I read Moss' s response. Did you delete it? Am I missing your point? Anyway love don't loose sleep. There are obviously disagreements on here that I for one awkwardly blunder into.
Now then can we discuss ley lines; dowsing, pyschoacoustics, faeries & witches? Only joking I know fuck all about any of them. Although....
Anyway your contributions are obviously bloody great. Keep it up. Keep well.
It's just struck me, am I completely missing the point of all this as per? Never mind.

Absolutely agree with this. I came to the subject via those sorts of questions, and the subject has asked more questions and added much richness to my life in return.

I know it sounds like a trite cliche, but I've learned far more about myself from visiting sites than about the sites themselves. And they still keep pulling me.

I think that might well sum up the appeal of TMA for a number of others, too. Certainly me. It's the human element that's paramount for me, not individual site detail. These constructions were erected by anatomically modern people like us, with hopes and dreams perhaps mirroring ours - at least at a base level? - but who rather annoyingly didn't leave any other clues/indications of what they thought/felt behind for prosperity. Maybe this mystery epitomises the 'so where do I come from/what does life mean/where am going' conundrum some of us just can't help exploring... where better to contemplate such 'stuff' than at localised hot points, so to speak?

Great posts. So eloquent & true for me. It's an on going revelation without a definitive "revelation" as such:)

It's probably best to ignore the more manic vitriolic posts , but what the hell .
Yes , there are signs of the loaded gun .

Little doubt for me , that your post was aimed at me .
This is an open forum for discussion ,if you had a problem earlier why didn't you mention it then , or is there a fear of open discussion . That has proved to be the case often enough in the past where those who don't like their views being questioned get personal then flounce off .

One clue to the loading was the mention of googling . Everybody can google , why is it that those who flounce off can't ? Or is it more a case of not everything is googleable . Much of what I post here is not googleable , recent instances are , the Holm of Papa Westray azis and declinations I mentioned to tjj , the list of victims with trauma was collected over years and not available as a single entity on google ,although it will be now , nobody had ever said that the bone under slabs in Orkney was used as a stabiliser and the explanation why that didn't make sense would not be googleable . How could completely new sites be googleable , but they are now . Many opinions expressed here are not googleable .The content in relation to the astronomy of the dolmens , where is that googleable ? But it will be now . If you dispute anything let's hear it . It's like you have saved up years of bile then exploded . If you tell me the capital of Mongolia and it is correct ,do you think that I would think you googled it ?
You seem to have a problem with evidence , I don't , I prefer it to fantasy , sometimes there is no evidence , discuss , but there are those who have a problem with discussion ,they don't like evidence either .

The mention of those who want to or would love to come back is also reminiscent of one other source , who is stopping them . Maybe they get put off by vitriolic posts , what about other forums where I don't post ,what is the excuse there ?

Reading , don't you read ? Is there something wrong with reading ? I don't mind if others don't read , fine , but they are likely to lose out on some stuff.

A few posts ago you said I could apologise if I liked , but failed to explain what I should apologise about . The most I had done was disagree with you , probably less ,and I certainly didn't get " personal " .I'm surprised that you have .

You can get away with vitriol , that's the beauty of the forum ,but don't think you can tell others to go simply because you don't like what they say or that they differ from your beliefs . I'll defend your right to stay and say what you like , but I'll almost certainly disagree with it .

Replying to myself, oh dear. At the end of the day this is Julian Cope' s website & he, bless him, can be pretty "out there"; speculative. Wombs & breasts & motherfuckers. It's supposed to be glorious, with some degree of fun surely...at least some of the time:)

Hello again Spencer,
I have reflected on some of your post content and would like to say something about forum bullying. When I first started posting here I was ‘bullied’ but in a very subtle way. I had crossed swords on another now defunct forum with some of the people from this forum (there was a bit of personal stuff with one of them which I have no intention of dredging up). They bullied me by blanking everything I posted – just ignoring me as though I didn’t exist. I am grateful to people like Thesweetcheat, Gladman and Tiompan for bothering to interact with me, though they may not have noticed what was going on. Maybe it would have been more dignified to have just disappeared but my Irish mother’s stubborn streak kicked in. Some of those people came around to accept me in the end but to be fair most of them generally don’t post on TMA much anymore.
Be glad that Tiompan enters into discussion with you even if he sometimes challenges you. There is absolutely no malice intended.

I totally disagree Carol. One must be studious in all aspects of life. One should never have a sense of humour as that detracts from any enjoyment of our planet. How dare you disect the micro and narco(meant)organisms of our Mother Earth. You don't even deserve to clean my shitty boots. Did Joey Ramone plough the fields of Forest Hills concrete for nothing? Where were you when CBGB needed restoration? The pixies in E2nd St. were there in The Bowery and it was an awful shame.

Songs? Never! What kind of satanic ritual is that? I shall report you to Edward Woodward and Britt Ekland.

Just wait till the Goddess Nicola hears about you and your foolish ways!

Heehee. Wasn't Britt married to hairy monster Peter Sellers? Least funny man on the planet?

Peter Sellers hung around with Peter Cook, hence funny.
