Good stuff poddy, and thanks for the offer to ferry people around. I hope there is not too much perambulation... None at all, unless peeps want to. The longest walk is from the large National Trust car-park, although there's also limited pay parking at the Red Lion (where we meet up if the weather's bad). |

Just back from a long weekend in Avebury and catching up with plans for next week - Littlestone's mentioned t-shirts for this year: If anyone's interested I'll work up a design in time and try and produce a few (using the same dodgy supplier of quality-seconds t-shirts as last year!) for the day, and can always do more after the event. Shout some sizes out and I'll work to an average. Roll on the weekend! wA |

Shout some sizes out and I'll work to an average. Yeah, good stuff wA. Large please, and I'll take any colour :-) Just put up a photo of last year's BuckyE's design http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/img_fullsize/68482.jpg - hope the eds don't mind as it's a bit OT. |

Small or medium for me please. Wearing BuckyE's at the moment and I think I'm sharing with a couple of asylum seekers ;) Jim. |

My mate says you will have to go to Millets to see if they have any 4- man tents available to make my size T-shirt out of :o( Scubi |

If anyone is/was thinking of camping at The Barge Inn in Honeystreet, you may like to know that this is on: http://www.the-barge-inn.com/entertainments.htm Could be great fun, could be a pain if you want some peace!

Ahh, thanks for that Sm! For anyone who doesn't know The Barge Inn it's situated right by the Kennet and Avon Canal - the pub's front garden is also next to the canal. There's a big camping area at the back of the pub where the concerts are held - and they really can be pretty lively. The Barge is only about fifteen minute's walk to Alton Priors where the sarsens under the church floor can be seen (there's also an ancient yew in the churchyard). Beautiful views of the surrounding Vale of Pewsey and about fifteen minutes drive to Avebury. Anyone going to The Barge should head for Alton Priors (Anglo-Saxon church there) and take a lane just past the church on the other side of the road - or just follow the sign to The Barge Inn.

Sunday's weather forecast is sun with light showers - so something damp proof to sit on, plus an umbrella might not come amiss.
