If late April or May the Silbury dig will have started and they are laying on a presentation supposedly with a TV link.

Where will this TV link be sited exactly?
They have started work on a path from the car park to the viewing spot this week.

Ooooh, don't get me started - I have a 10 day Scottish trip planned in June and on 6 of those days I'll be in Orkney - yeah!

Somehow Goff we have been here before with the B.........north/south division; Nigel lives in the centre - good old black country - what about his place ;)
Options; 1) North
2)South; Dartmoor is a bit far for most I would have thought.
3) Avebury, Rollrights, or theres plenty of space at Stonehenge

Bugger, I didn't mean to nix your plans with my innocent "North anyone?" query. You stick to what you've planned and I'll just get on with enjoying myself up here ;-)

It's got a church, and in my experience, most churches have a pub close by...

Criteria:

Meeting Space
Stones
Watering/feeding hole (indoor for inclement weather!)
Parking

Obviously Avebury meets all those. Rollrights meets all but the food/water. Dartmoor? Stonehenge??

Any other good candidates?

Beltane at Thornborough's on in early May, the ultimate picnic arena as I remember.

Any excuse to travel down to Avebury suits me tho'!
