Never really believed in all that stuff, but my wife works for Offwat, and there company mag had an article on a fella, in Wales i think, who dowses for underground watercourses for farmers to sink boreholes into, he's supposed to have a near 100% success rate. Can't really explain it. maybe he has lots of expensive geophys/ ground radar equipment that he uses at night when no ones around, then during the day he 'stumbles' over the water coarses with his bent coathanger :-) Or maybe there is something in the whole 'earth magnetic field' idea, after all, it is just a giant bar magnet. (wonder when the next polar reversal is due?).
