What got me was the ridulous and futile competitive element that they played into which meant silbury was just outside the Top 10. How pathetic! Lets have a prgramme which tell us about these places without this nonsensical and juvenile 'Mine's-better-then-yours' mentality. The fact that Orkney got TWO sites in made me smile. I like that. But where the fuck was Callanish?!?!

Ali and Jez spent most of the time telling the camera crew to get hard hats on so they wouldn't have been filmed! They didn't even interview Blanket Bloke! I thoughts Mike Pitts' Pebble Avebury was funny. When are we going to arrange a picnic for the kids at Avebury then?

None of my faves were anywhere near that list probably. I wonder what the top 500 would look like? ;-) .o0O0o.

There was a lot of twaddle in the programme, but it was quite entertaining. Shame they insisited on including the Romans though. K x

There was always gonna be twaddle & I thought the twaddle quotient could've been a lot worse. Definitely a shame they lumped the Romans in. Ironically some of the things they said in connection with the Roman sites almost emphasised the fact that they didn't fit in! Love Moth

If the Roman stuff is not 'ancient' - which I agree - then how old do we think Mr Cerne Abbas is then? thousands or only a few hundred years old? They didn't say why they couldn't date the chalk deposits on him like they could at Uffington.
