Maybe in Falmouth for a week, with limited use of a car.

Where do I go? What are your recommendations, if you don't mind?

Plus its about time someone mentioned Cornwall.

There's a portal dolmen, in pieces, allegedly, with a circular capstone. It's in the parish of West Penwith. I could find a map reference eventually. It's not been seen for quite a time.

That whole area is stacked with monuments paid for by tin-mining money. There's even a slight chance that the material - bronze - was invented not far away ...

Depends how mobile you are, but on the Lizard peninsular you've got a few sites to choose from:
3 Brothers of Grugith (behind the petrol station)
Crousa Common Stones
Wendron 9 Maidens (only 4 or 5 left)
Burras Menhir

Further afield you can get into Penwith proper and the treasures there are too many to list here. Check out mine, Paul1970 and PureJoy's weblogs for further details...

In the misc section of :- Trewardreva Fogou
http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/browse.php?site_id=1615

PureJoy entered this :- Craig Weatherhill’s ‘Cornovia: Ancient Sites of Cornwall and Scilly’ (Cornwall Books - 1985, revised 1997 & 2000) calls this ‘Piskey Hall Fogou’ (the OS map calls it 'Pixie's Hall')and gives it a good mention,

Thought it's worth a mention.

The descriptions of Men an Tol are incredible. Seems to generate a lot of feeling.

Sounds like my kind of place.
