Watched Wonderwoman last weekend and found it quite enjoyable in the main. Getting slightly bored of the Nazis as baddies and the evil scientist trope, but enjoyed the incorporation of Greek Mythology. Wasn't aware of this being done before but a friend tells me that Hercules was in the marvel world and of course there is the Norse Mythology of Thor.

My wife and other ladies, not superhero followers, are all raving about it.

Was much better than your average po-faced DC film, but I really wish I hadn't googled "Gal Gadot IDF" beforehand. Finding out she was a stringent anti-Palestinian made all the scenes of her getting rheumy at the sight of displaced refugees seem a bit rich. 'course, I may have had similar beliefs myself had I been born on her side of the border, so I shouldn't hold it too much against her.

Ooops! You're quite right. Germans but not Nazis. The bad guys were Kinda reminiscent of the origins of Hydra in Captain America though, don't you think? Similar motif in Hellboy too

'cause Toni's all about the attention? I thought the Naked reunion between David Thewlis and Ewan Bremner was unexpected and cool. If Bremner's character had randomly started shouting "Maggie!!!" in a PSTD fit I'd have been in seventh heaven.

Little Man Tate. Jodie Foster starred and directed film about bringing up a child prodigy. Saw it about 20 years ago, and enjoyed revisiting it. Now You See Me. Semi Clever film with reasonable twists about 4 magicians. Enjoyable enough as long as you don't take it too seriously
