It's definitely a song for the times!

Neil Hamburger has one of these for £50 on Discogs if anyone is interested.

Oh yeah - please fuck off Neil. This song is for you.

It sounds a bit Half Man, Half Biscuit to me. Not necessarily a bad thing.

I still haven't heard this single, and I think I'll be waiting in vain for 6Music to play it.

Maybe I'm being a bit petty, but I am not happy that this is virtually a download only single, so I'm making a personal protest and declining to download it. I think I bought Raveolution on DD years ago but I've never played it and I haven't bought any other downloads from anyone.

It doesn't look like Julian wants to give it a repress so bollox to it.

Yeah, I feel the same. I have to have it in my hands - I never bother with DL only. The album should be out soon and that I am hoping will be available in (unlimited) physical format. It should have CCFO on it anyways. Got that Rave-olution too all those years ago but had to get it to CD-R before I listened to it.

I don't mind the downloads, but yeah, would prefer a physical release (in a lot less plastic than is normally used for Cope's releases) but as he's not exactly in the public eye anymore then is there really much point in creating all that just to sell about 100 copies?

Personally, I would like to see either a DL of FG4 and Jehovahcoat or a reissue of either as they're just going for stupid money on discogs.

As for CCFO, it's never been a song I've particularly thought much of, so not bothered about the single. I'll buy the album when it's out as I believe it's on there anyway, so not really missing out on anything.

I also like to own a physical copy of recordings I dig, but after nearly six solid decades of collecting I’ve amassed so many records, CDs and tapes that I struggle to find house space for it. I’m therefore more amenable to downloads than I used to be, and more often than not stream music I own rather than going to the effort of locating the records. As my streamer is more modern than my CD player most stuff actually sounds better that way, or so my ancient ears make me think!

And for the record (or not, as the present case may be), ‘Cunts Can Fuck Off’ is probably the most played DL I’ve ever purchased. I absolutely love it!

Totally agree. If this had been on the excellent 'Self Civil War', it would have stood our like a sore thumb as the poorest track by far. Too on the nose and obvious. Like adding 'Give Peace A Chance' to 'Plastic Ono Band'.

I can understand it being selected as a stand-alone single for JC to protest the current state of our politics / culture. But that's it. An album track it is not. Except it looks like it is. We'll get a lot better on the album (hopefully).

Totally agree, it's a one-off, which may work on the new album, but we'll have to wait and find out. For me, I just found the whole thing unappealing, including the title. Maybe that was the intention, but from the first time I heard the song (from a live vid a while ago) I thought he was better than this, just a throwaway song title that will turn more people off than on. But that's me.
