Been zipping up and down the motorway this week collecting youngest from Uni...final year...three years has whizzed by..still, worth it for her, she looks in line for a first (she has worked extra hard for it, so hopefully it'll work out for her). Musical accompaniment has been....
Tin Man - Acid Acid Acid
Does pretty much what it says. Old school acid house stylings. Perfect for those endless autobahn miles. https://acidtestrecords.bandcamp.com/album/acid-acid-acid
Sabbath - Paranoid
BEAK - >>>
Missed these feckers live the other week cos bloody venue website said tix available, when in fact they had sold out :( The modern perils of not being on social media I guess. Still, great record.
Fujiya Miyagi - Transparent Things
NIN - Further Down the Spiral
I actually prefer this to the album proper. Not really a NIN fan, but having missed out on Coil Live Five CD over on Thipes website I was listening to Coil's NIN remixes and thought I'd investigate this. There's apparently an Aphex Twin remix amongst the various tracks...not read the blurb yet (picked up CD for the insane amount of 1.50) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKVn_Cn6kVY&list=PL4B07AA79D8099E67
Gum Takes Tooth - Arrow
Terrible name fer a band, but great record. One commenter over on BC says " Threatening, pulsing synths paint this whole record with a metallic, palpable menace. Reminds me of Coil, or Chris & Cosey, in the ability to get an emotional response with a limited palette." couldn't agree more.

Death and Vanilla - Are You A Dreamer?
Well executed 'more of the same'-ness.
Clinic - Wheeltappers and Shunters
Think this has become my second fav' Clinic album next to Walking With Thee. First record in 7 years, I hadn't realised it had been so long. It's apparently their brexit record, and I can kinda see that in some of the lyrics. https://clinicband.bandcamp.com/album/wheeltappers-and-shunters
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Endless Boogie - Vol 1 and 2
Finally gets a re-issue///lost my vol 1 years ago, so good to have it back.

Boredoms - VCNS
I played this to death when Cope tipped us the wink, so much so that I've had a hard time re-engaging with it sometimes, it soooo familiar...but soooo good to hear it again with the antenna fully receiving.
Guitar Wolf - Love and Jett
Garage punk noise fest 2019, fuck Yeah!
https://guitarwolf.bandcamp.com/album/love-jett
VR Sex - Human Traffic Jam
If the Sisters of Mercy had been a bit heavier and had a synth player, I imagine it may have sounded something like this...

That's about it. Off to Dawlish next week fer a few days R&R and hikes up on the moor. Typically, shit weather gonna roll in, but hey ho, I've got waterproofs (somewhere?). Have a good en!
