Phew, been a while...
Vinyl stuff...
Acid Mothers Temple - Reverse of Rebirth in Reverse
A different sound, and a lovely album.
Prana Crafter - Enter the Stream
Gorgeous psychedelic wash like Neil Young tripping with early Pink Floyd.
PFM - Cook
Got this at a Caravan gig last week, in a box of 2nd hand records. I'd only heard a couple of studio albums before this, and it's great to hear them so on fire.
OK Champ - Dead About Thinking (Dirty Filthy Records)
Great new noise/psych band, with a healthy dose of dark humour in the lyrics. Move fast. I reckon this will sell out.
Tabby Sensibilities - B&W&Tabs (Weird Beard Records)
A rolling thundering trip of guitar and noise, juxtaposed with moments of ambient beauty from Terminal Cheesecake bloke. I like this a lot.
Papir III and IIII
Splendid guitar riffing spacerock like a more considered Earthless. Great late night listening.
Throw Down Bones - Two
A wonderful slab of bouncing beats and guitar noise. Puts me in mind of early ACR if they'd had techno to play with. Makes me smile.
Relayer - Yes
I was after a nice copy of this, and struck it lucky. My favourite Roger Dean cover, and a great album too. Still stands up after all these years.
Tago Mago - Can
A christmas present - and boy does it sound and look good in this edition. True genius.
Hope you're all keeping rocking and a rolling!
