David McCallum made a couple of great singles, too.

I was thinking more of the David McCallum "Invisible Man" / Inspiral Carpets bowl cut. He looks pretty cool in your picture.

He really should have played a German in Colditz instead of that character that was always getting into trouble with the guards.

Rolling Ronnie wrote: Never a huge fan, I always found them a bit 'up-tight' somehow. Love the 'Poor Man's Moody Blues' though. Barclay James Harvest are well worth a try. They've been mentioned in a few threads. Live Tapes, Live 1974, Everyone Is Everybody Else and Octoberon are all good places to start. I like a bit of BJH every now and then, but to me they just don't have that psychedelic edge the MBs have.

This is a trivial aside which has nowt whatsoever to do with their music, but when I was a teen I lived in the same village as Justin Haywayd, and his rather impressive three-storey house was on my paper round.. Never actually met him, although he always tipped quite generously at Christmas.
