I agree too, but also agree with Stray that we're being over-sensitive!!!!

Depends how it is worded. Some people manage to state these things in an aggresive, "I know all there is to know about this and will brook no argument" sort of fashion.

Gah, I'm wishing I hadn't started this! Must remember not to post random thoughts on forums...

*good to see you about again btw LL, hope all is well.

Yep all's well now after a very weird year, thanks.

Ah, I don't even mind someone banging on about being the world's authority on something and dismissing someone else's views. It's their loss if they don't want to hear someone else's opinion. And, as I said it's obvious (to me anyway) that it's an opinion, whatever they say. It's music taste we're talking about after all. Obviously a subjective thing. And that's a fact, so don't even reply, cos I know what I'm talking about, right? (Grrrr!)

in general unsung is pretty much kept in line with the general line of what is unsung or not unsung as the case may be howeve to me there is little of interest that is stated as unsung or not unsung or whatever...

I don't worry too much about it. After a while{for me at least}, you kind of get a feel for who else on the forum has sympatico tastes in music.
I allways appreciate it when people can explain 'WHY' they like or dislike a particular thing or not. Particularly when it's a little more expansive than ''That Sucks" or "It's Feckin' Awesome Dude!"
But would i trade my Clapton collection for the collected works of KraftWerk?
Fuck That!

I'd trade my Clapton collection for the collected works of Clodagh Rodgers!

I can understand why you yourself would need to couch your opinions like that. Not so some of the rest of us ;-D
