Conny Plank produced the first Scorpions album! ("Lonesome Crow") -- it's not bad for "Germanrock" though I can't say it set my world on fire. Not exactly "kraut" really.

Wonder if it was me that was saying that Lonesome Crow was ok. I think its more jazzy/psychy Sabbafy than Krautrock per se. But its pretty cool.
Wouldn't say it was top ten Krautrock like the first person I saw extolling it, but he really came close to putting me off anyway. Was into a lot of things I wouldn't touch and had a really pompous style of writing.
Hate that.

First Scorps has its moments, but lately I've rediscovered Fly to the Rainbow and (especially) In Trance.... when they had Uli Roth they were a really weird bunch of motherfuckers---------------------

Right. Thats it, have ordered lonesome crow. I had to , seeng as conny produced it
Have also ordered Jane,s 1st.
Hopefully I'll be an expert on the subjects in case after a coupla weeks for delivery.
