Well the results is based on what people voted for. Yes, there's not many females, and not many afro-americans either. Damn few hip-hop albums, which disappoints me (but oh well, it is what it is.)
Let me tell you as a "stato" -- the first thing they'll teach you in any course on surveys is that "sampling is everything." You ask Cope fans what music they like, chances are excellent Cope music will top the list. If this was a black metal forum, maybe Deicide or Hellhammer would have topped the poll.
It's a reflection of the tastes of those who participated, no more and no less than that.

Interesting stuff. A lot of the usual suspects in lists like this crept in there anyway, but some interesting stuff getting its due and certainly not looking odd ranking alongside the more traditional best of the best. I did find the lowere echelons were getting more interesting and varied, as I thought I would. Oh, and John Cale being second most popular individual seemed very strange til I read your explanation. It'll be all them '..with Nico' and 'White Light' votes that done that then. I'd like to echo Moon Cat's sentiment that you are completely barmy in a cute n cuddly way. Thanks for dodging the brickbats and stubbornly continuing on your statistical odd-yssey, Dog3000!
