Hi Nigel and all (including Roy). Is there anything left to be said, if there is I don't know how to say it.

I voted Labour and really did expect them to win though freely admit to have not been looking forward to more months of wrangling over Brexit. It is clear a large percentage of Labour voters felt betrayed by Labour's ambivalence over it all. Keir Starmer and Emily Thornberry definitely had a Remain agenda whilst Jeremy Corbyn struggled not to alienate the Leave voters. Anyway, the election was clearly not lost on their ambitious social manifesto.

Personally I couldn't stand Jo Swinson and thought her arrogant dismissal of a large section of the electorate made her unelectable (to me).

Yes, I think the Tories will fall from favour soon enough so the only way forward is for the Labour Party to rebuild a united and solid party based on realistic socialism - with achievable objectives. It will take time.

As for Brexit I'm with a large proportion of the population who have switched off and perhaps turned our focus to Climate Change with the horror of the Australian bush fires on the news every day. I would just add - one of my sons is a London based civil servant who had been seconded to implement a No Deal Brexit, if it happened. He is fairly certain it will happen still at the end of 2020 when the UK is unable to secure EU trade deals in the timeframe set up.

Here's to 2020 ... and clear vision.
