Depraved, moi? I feel positively cowed. I mean all this sacrificing virgins over the altar stone was probably inversed by the god-botherers in order to make the dirty pagans appear to be bestial and savage, when i'm sure that it wasnt blood which was flowng at such rites.

Virginity is obviously sacrificed during intercourse but the actual act must have been carried out in veneration (another sexual/love word) to the Goddess and in return she gives the gift of life. Could tumuli reflect the shape of a gravid belly?

Its the closest us moderns can come to primal thought when the old hormones start flowing - :-) hubba, hubba!
