No it was hi-jacked by them.

I used to work in maintenance, we did re-active support - customer called us, and pro-active support - we called the customer.

Alas it now means sit on your hands and has been politicised to nothingness alogn with biodiversity, conservation and many other words of seeming import.

One knows how to react, but how does one proact?

preact

\Pre*act"\, v. t. To act beforehand; to perform previously.

That should have been PREactive support!

With dynamic vim and vigour we will proactivly react to changes in the preservation of prehistoric remains, empowering the creation of an environment that will deliver sustainability of resource whilst enabling a future than maximises the biodiversity of these ancient heritage landscapes.

Activities include promoting awareness of rural practices in keeping with monument preservation (doing nothing), and kitting out the lads for future rumbles.

Thanks for clarifying N. I had some quotes from you earlier in the thread ready to ask you about & I don't need to now!!!

I prefer 'Prehistoric' to 'Ancient' - a lot of people include the R*mans as 'ancient'. Mind you, a lot of people probably think of dinosaurs when the word 'prehistoric' comes up!!!

Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!!
