I mentioned this in passing in the box set thread a while back, but the new issue of Shindig! magazine (#140) features The Teardrop Explodes on the cover - their first magazine cover since 1981! I've written a lengthy feature on the band inside, as well as a review of the box set, and Andy Morten has contributed a piece looking back at Julian's influental 1983 'Tales From The Drug Attic' NME article.
Julian himself declined to be interviewed, but I did speak at length to Dave Balfe, Paul Simpson, and Mick Finkler, as well as publicist Mick Houghton. It was great to hear their memories of the band.

Will definitely pick this up! Enjoyed Julian's interview in Uncut recently so it'll be good to hear from other voices. Houghton is usually good value.
Wrote for Shindig myself a couple of years ago (was asked to do a feature on a mate's band on their 20th anniversary) but haven't been asked back!
