Th’ Faith Healers – Lido. Ah, the Camden ‘Lurch’ scene of the early pre-grunge and Britpop 90s. It might have only consisted of about five bands, but it left behind some awesome sounds. This is exactly the type of album that people will be falling over themselves to herald as a lost classic in 20 years’ time, being ferociously poised and playfully clever at the same time. You can hear how much they really loved Can, even putting aside the rather nifty cover of ‘Mother Sky’ here… Really, if you don’t know TFH, you need to give this a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZufkC4O6gLU

Remember them well, and seem to remember catching them live loads (pretty good as I recall) though personal fav from said scene were Moonshake, I thought 'Eva Luna' by them was just the nuts at the time.

Also had a big softspot for he slightly later Quickspace who I believe was formed by Tom from Th' Faith Healers.
Deffo an indie-kraut vibe on the album 'Precious Falling' and the EP around the same time 'Precious Mountain'.

You know, I'm not sure if I ever saw them, which seems a bit crazy in retrospect, but that period is a bit of a blur in general. Anyway, great band, also featuring Joe Dilworth, who now drums with Tim Gane in Cavern Of Anti-Matter. Have some Quickspace in the archive, will dig it out one of these days.

Ah, Moonshake, another band I missed live, but I particularly liked the Big Good Angel mini album - 'Two Trains' is an amazing track. Laika also did some fantastic stuff.
